Videographer – Dave Barnitz

My names Dave & I am experienced in videography. Having graduated from Kutztown University in Electronic Media, I stayed current and adapted as the video industry went digital. Seeing web and video fields merging, I created a digital media firm 37mediagroup specializing in website and video platforms.

My Story

I began shooting weddings having done a second shooter role way back in 2008, shooting to tape (yes, tape) and handing it over to the lead at the end of the night. Good times! I love shooting weddings as it incorporates both the storytelling aspect, as well as being fast paced, and hard work. I am easy to work with, and although I’ve aged a bit, I still find myself getting along with bridal parties and wedding guests, as well as other vendors. Something which goes a long way as your special day progresses.

I created this website as a dedication to my wedding videography business. I enjoy working weddings (obvi), meeting the couples, following them throughout their big day, and getting the best shots I can to capture special moments of their day. I’m based in the East Falls section of Philadelphia, which is very convenient for easy access into and out of the city. I cover the ENTIRE Philadelphia region, from Center City to the suburbs, upwards towards the Lehigh Valley. I also gladly take work in South Jersey area, from Cherry Hill to the shore, and all the nice places in between.

I started working my own weddings in 2009, shooting my first for a couple on a string budget, and me with a newly purchased DV camera I bought off ebay. It went really well, the run & gun style to the day kept me on my toes, yet to this day the bride & I are still friends on Facebook. Now, many years later, many camera & equipment upgrades later, I’m still here. Doing it. And that’s more than I can say for alot of wedding videographers and photographers. It’s hard work, and a different style to it, and the customer service and sales end to it can be time consuming. On the other hand it’s interesting coming into these couples lives, for the biggest day of their life, meeting and interacting with them, then poof!, it ends. Your wedding day can go by very fast. Photography allows you to recapture those moments, videography allows you to relive them.

Rather than simply mention that I shoot weddings, I wanted to create an all encompassing website dedicated not just to my wedding videography services, but also one that touches on multiple subjects, from planning, referral listings of areas leading wedding vendors, and more.   If you are interested in reading more about how to choose a videographer for your Big Day, please read more on what I’ve written about it here regarding Considering Videography.
